Help for new businesses

Stafford & Company are holding a series of workshops designed to help new businesses in the North West get off to a flying start.  The free workshops will cover such topics as how to keep effective records, the various options for company structure, registering for VAT, how to handle “official” paperwork and much more.  The workshops are ideal for anyone starting out in business or who has been trading for less than one year.

Robert Stafford, Partner at Stafford & Company, said of the workshops, “Starting out in business is tough and we recognise this.  We want to give new business owners a head start where accounts are concerned and show that rather than being a burden, dealing with the company’s finances and working with an accountant is a simple process that puts a business on a strong footing for the future.”

Delegates to the workshops will have the opportunity to ask questions directly relevant to their own businesses, either during the workshop sessions or on a one-to-one basis.  Robert Stafford adds, “This is an ideal opportunity to ask all those questions you’ve previously been afraid to, and to really learn how to ‘manage’ your accountant!”

The first workshop will be held on Wednesday 13th February 2008 and following this the 2nd Wednesday in every month, at Stafford & Company’s offices.  There is no charge to attend but numbers are limited so booking is essential.  Call Vicky Carson on 0845 33 05 023 or book online by following the “Accountancy Workshops” link.
