Stafford & Co have appointed tax consultant Sharon Harrison as a partner in their fast-expanding practice.
Sharon, aged 41, trained as a tax adviser with KPMG before setting up her own tax consultancy practice and has worked closely with Stafford & Co.’s clients, providing beneficial advice on a range of tax planning issues.
Robert Stafford, partner at Stafford & Co said: “We have been impressed by Sharon’s expertise and invited her to join us as a partner so that we can fully enhance our range of services, which include corporate finance and business advice, and strategic help with business acquisitions.”
Founded by Ken Stafford and based in Nelson Mill on Gaskell Street, the firm has gone from strength to strength, doubling its turnover since 2003 to become one of the leading proactive accountants in Lancashire.
“Tax planning is becoming vital to many people, particularly as many individuals have properties abroad these days,” explained Sharon. “Inheritance tax, capital gains tax, corporation tax, they are a minefield for many people and we are here to help.”
The company has an impressive client list which includes several large well known Bolton companies as well as numerous sports professionals.
Stafford & Co. are also committed to a training programme and currently have three trainees at various levels and hope to create more employment opportunities soon.
