PEST-FREE ZONE REQUIRED FOR MANCHESTER’S NEWEST CHAPTER

If you have ever had any difficulty in finding a new venue for a chapter meeting, take pity on Bill McCulloch, Area Director for Manchester. When a new venue was needed for the launch of the Flagship chapter, core group member Gregg Derbyshire had to be consulted and not until he was satisfied was the venue booked.

But its not that Gregg is particularly fussy or has special requirements, just that he’s been behind the scenes of many Manchester hotels and restaurants – in his role as a pest control expert!

Gregg is a director of Pest Care (UK) Ltd and one of the founder members of Manchester’s newest chapter, Flagship, which was launched on 12th November with a visitors’ day that boosted the launch membership of 20 up to 26 and saw referrals passed right from the word go. In fact accountant Robert Stafford of Stafford & Co received a referral from solicitor Sean Daly of Zatman from a client in the process of a £1.5m land acquisition who was unhappy with his current accountant. After an intensive four-week BNI training program with fellow core-group members prior to Flagship’s launch, Sean was quick to spot the opportunity and get the referral for Robert, who has since secured the business.

“We have already got tremendous value for money from our BNI membership”, says Robert, “and there’s still 51 weeks to go before renewal!”

SuccessNet is pleased to report that the Flagship chapter meets at the Freemasons Hall on Bridge Street, Manchester and that Gregg Derbyshire can been seen eating breakfast there every Friday!
